Apigenin Uses

Natural Apigenin:

a. After sieving and crushing the celery seeds, place them in an alcohol container with a content of 70%. stirring and ensuring the liquid is stable.

b. Powdered celery seeds will become granular after fusion with alcohol;

c. The granular mixture in the container is extracted three times, and the time interval for each extraction is two hours;

d. The extracted particles are filtered through the solution, and after decompression and concentration treatments, the refined apigenin is made into powder.

Apigenin

Synthetic Apigenin:

The semi-synthetic method of apigenin is characterized by using naringenin as a raw material in an alkaline environment, reacting with iodine at a temperature of 50-130°C in 1,4-dioxane as a solvent, and oxidative dehydrogenation to Generate undefined apigenin, then after some special procudures, the undefined apigenin will become pure apigenin.

For apigenin uses:

A high number of studies carried out over the years have indicated that apigenin has many interesting pharmacological activities and nutraceutical potential. As an example, its properties as an antioxidant are well known, and it can also be a therapeutic agent to overcome diseases like inflammation, autoimmune, neurodegenerative disease, and even several types of cancers. It has a low intrinsic toxicity on normal versus cancerous cells, compared with other structurally related flavonoids.
