Description

What is Alpha-GPC?

Alpha-GPC is a water-soluble substance obtained by removing two fatty acids from PC (phosphatidylcholine), and the main phospholipid constituting the cell membrane. It originally widely present in the body and is one of the body components that exist in human breast milk and body fluids. Research in the food industry has shown that PC in soybean lecithin can be used as a raw material to remove fatty acids in the structure (deacylation) to obtain GPC .

Alpha-GPC Usage And Synthesis

1.Glycerol phosphatidylcholine (Alpha-GPC) is the precursor of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. It is also converted into phosphatidylcholine after being digested in the mouth. It is naturally present in most cell membranes of the human body. Acetylcholine levels decrease with age and are a sign of neurodegeneration.

2.Glycerol Phosphatidylcholine (Alpha-GPC), as a key building block for the production of acetylcholine in the brain.

3.The abundant presence of glycerol phosphatidylcholine (Alpha-GPC) in human breast milk proves its safety and importance to life. Proper acetylcholine function is necessary for muscle control, sleep and cognition.

4.Glycerol Phosphatidylcholine (Alpha-GPC) plays an important role in the synthesis and catabolism of phospholipids.

5.Glycerol Phosphatidylcholine (Alpha-GPC) supplements can promote the synthesis of phospholipids, including the synthesis of phosphoinositol, which is used for signal transduction in the central nervous system.

6. As clinical studies have verified that glycerol phosphatidylcholine (Alpha-GPC) supports brain health, it is sold as an expensive prescription drug in Europe.
