Description
Cefixime Trihydrate is a broad-spectrum, third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic derived semisynthetically from the marine fungus Cephalosporium acremonium with antibacterial activity.
As does penicillin, the beta-lactam antibiotic Cefixime Trihydrate inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by disrupting peptidoglycan synthesis, resulting in a reduction in bacterial cell wall stability and bacterial cell lysis. Stable in the presence of a variety of beta-lactamases, this agent is more active against gram-negative bacteria and less active against gram-positive bacteria compared to second-generation cephalosporins.
Cefixime Trihydrate, also known as cephalosporin, which belongs to the third-generation oral cephalosporin antibiotics with a broad antibacterial spectrum. It is for some gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. All have a certain antibacterial effect. Its mechanism is mainly through inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell wall, which can play a bactericidal effect.
The dispersible tablet refers to a tablet that can be quickly disintegrated and uniformly dispersed in water, and has the characteristics of convenient taking, rapid disintegration, fast absorption and high bioavailability. Therefore, cefixime dispersible tablets are absorbed faster than capsule and tablet types of cefixime.
